Hi. I'm currently in my second year of studies at university, studying for my first degree. At the start of the next academic year (2010-11), I would like to apply to study for a PGCE in secondary education (specialising in English). I know that for the majority of postgraduate study, funding, sponsorship and/or loans are not usually available to cover the costs of studying. I am saving my own funds anyway, but strongly doubt I will have enough to cover tuition fees for a year's postgraduate study. However I have heard that for a PGCE, it is possible to apply for support from the student loans company, and also to receive bursaries and grants, as also at undergraduate level. Is this correct? Well I had my sonogram yesterday. Im measuring at 8 weeks 7 days (today) and by my LMP I would be 8 weeks 3 days so not too far off. The baby had a heartbeat; however, the tech said to discuss the results wit my doc..does that mean theres something wrong? There are so many things that can cause sleep problems. Stress is a major cause. If all your tests, blood work etc have come back negative, it could be stress. My doctor gave me Mertazapine. It worked fine, but I was afraid of the side effects and possible dependency so I looked for alternatives. What I found was two natural sleep aids. Type in the names of these to any search engine to find out how they work. Melatonin and Valerian Root are both totally drug free and natural herbs. I take two of each about 30 min before bedtime and go to sleep within seconds of touching the pillow. One by itself may work for you or you may need to experiment to find a good combination that works best. I rest well thru the night and wake up ready to go. The only drawback is the Valerian Root. It has a very pungent smell/taste, very similar to soured milk, but it works so well that I just ignore the smell/taste. They are both available at drug and health stores, but walmart is cheapest. Sweet dreams.

Puppy food?

I have a 5 month old pup. she is a healthy weight and is growing well however i wonder what i can feed her still. I feed her 2 meals a day (breakfast and dinner) and leave biscuits out for her during the day. I was buying puppy canned food as recommended by one person but a family friend said the best food for a pup is biscuits to nibble on. i dont follow the feeding guide on the can as it seems so much for her tiny body. she isnt at all underweight so i know shes eating enough. i notice she doesnt eat her biscuits much, is it because shes not hungry with the 2 meals a day? when do you reduce it to one meal a day? 6 months old or not until a year old? ive bought some supermarket made puppy food - meat and veges - as variety to try this week. i also give her mince when i use mince in my evening meal. i tried her with yoghurt which she loves. should she have a varied diet? or is canned type food enough for her? shes spoilt so i want to do my best with her of course :-p

NCLB is a dismal failure. It is odd that we would force our teachers to spend clroom instruction time studying for one specific test that has nothing to do with the instruction for that cl subject. Our students are 'learning' in some of the poorest communities in the nation, with failing schools, crumbling clrooms, sewage leakages into the schools, and laid off teachers. How do I get my rear rotors off my 07 F150?

I have the tire off and the caliper is tied to the leaf spring, but the rotor won't move. I've sprayed it, slammed it with a hammer, and even used a slide hammer. Am I missing something? The rear wheel moves so I know the inner e-brake isn't stuck, but do I need to remove the 4 large bolts on the rear end where it meets the wheel? I've done plenty of rotors and never had a problem! I've done Dodge, Ford, and Chevy brakes.

Please please please take my advice. I hate malware and I want to help anyone I can. I had the same trouble. It hijacked my web browser and my desktop. I thought I knew quite a bit about computers but never had to deal with a virus like that. It was Antivirus 2008 it seems to be effecting everyone. Download and run malwarebytes. (www.malwarebytes.org) It's free and it will find everything. I swear by it. Malware is so hard to remove manually so don't even bother. I tried to edit the registry and I ended up missing like 40 files because it worms itself so much. Any other questions just ask. I'd be happy to help.

My daughter is 11 months and is currently on Enfamil Lipil. Se loves it. I have heard at around 1yr you can give your baby milk. I am wondering if this is the best option or if i should switch her to the NEXT STEP Enfamil. Universe's Fate and it's Life Support in the Future?

Our Universe is essentially "powered" by the conversion of Hydrogen to Helium. Just as someday our fossil fuels will run out on Earth, so also will our Universe's Hydrogen run out. When that happens, the Universe will be quite a cold and dark place indeed. But the last red dwarf stars will wink out in at least 100Billion years from now, or maybe longer. Our Cosmology is not sufficiently advanced in my opinion to accurately predict what will happen after that. Life has advanced from the simplest microbes to Humans in "only" 4 Billion years on Earth. Who can imagine where or what life will be like in another 100+ Billion years? While it is fun to speculate about such things, I prefer to devote my thought energy to issues more close at hand, such as developing controlled nuclear fusion or putting humans on Mars and beyond. But it was fun digressing from these more mundane thoughts for a few moments....

I've been on/off talking to this guy since about last May. Around August, we began to date and everything was just dandy. We ended it in October, however, I don't really remember why. New co-worker...?

I have a new co-worker that I am responsible for training. The problem is that she's been here for a month and should be (in my opinion) readily able to do her work without supervision. She always wants me to sit next to her and observe the same duties we have been doing daily for a month which is data entry. She constantly askes the same questions over and over and wants validation that she's doing something correctly. Even though she's new in this position you have to use your own judgement-I try to tell her don't be scared you're doing something wrong but be confidant. We work at a bank in the accounting dept. Her first language is not english and it's hard for her to comprehend/ understand simple requests without it being repeated. The reason I was told she was hired is because she graduted from college with a BA in finance- however she's not applying her education- I can't picture her getting a degree when she's having such a hard time learning simple things

Looking for new recipes for 1-year-old who needs to gain weight?

By 12 month old daughter has been losing weight off and on since she was 5 months old. We've been working with her PCM and her GI Specialist closely and haven't found a reason yet, but we have a referral to start seeing a nutritionist soon. However, we won't get to see her for a while because of scheduling. We've gotten my daughter to a point where she's not losing, but she's not gaining, either (she's 17 lbs 5 oz at 12 months-- 2nd percentile). In the past, I've simply tried to pick high calorie healthy foods by themselves and cut them up (like avocado, cheese, whole wheat bread ect). However, now that she's getting older and her tastes are more mature, I'm looking for actual RECIPES for dinner that are healthy, but high calorie. For example, pasta dishes, ect. Do you have a good recipe you can suggest? I'm running out of ideas!

The reason i ask is because my girlfriend had a bad physical reaction after having with her former boyfriend. They had to break up because it was too dangerous for her health. Now, even though we have not had , the same thing seems to be happening with us. There has been some fooling around though. Infections seem to be extremely sudden and provoked by the slightest form of contact. Any suggestions, any doctors out there that could point me in the right direction in terms of research. When I switch to battery power, my screen randomly goes blank on my HP DV6150US laptop.

I have to put the laptop to sleep and wake it up again to be able to see or do anything. This usually happens when I watch a video. The sound is still audible, but the screen goes completely blank. It doesn't shut off, just becomes black. I usually do a fn F5 to put it to sleep and then wake it up for the screen to come on again. I have an Intel centrino duo, T5500@ 1.66GHz, 2GB RAM, 32-Bit OS Vista upgrade, and Mobile Intel (R)945 Express chipset family. I am not a computer tech, but I try to tinker around to see what's up. After years of coloring my hair, I have finally decided to go back to my natural color. But, there was no way I was going to grow out my colored hair with a stark light brown root line. So, I decided to dye it back to my natural light ash brown color. After a couple of tries, I think I finally have a result my natural color can blend inconspicuously into. Unfortunately, it's a bit too soon to be sure. I want to know about your experiences with this situation and if you ever had any success. Tips are welcome!

I have been having serious back pain for the past month and a half or so. I did not fall or anything, but I am a dancer and some of the moves put a lot of strain on your back. I thought that the pain would go away after a week or two of rest, but when it did not, I decided to go to the doctor. I went to an orthropedic doctor. He took x-rays and said that nothing showed up. He said that the discs looked fine and everything was in line. I have a slight curvature, but he said it was nothing to worry about. Basically he said that it was most likely just inflammed and should resolve itself and take pain killers in the mean time. However, I am still in constant pain. It is affecting my everyday life. My question is, what are some back problems that would NOT show up on a traditional x-ray? (he did not do an MRI or a CTscan) I am aware that I tend to slouch a lot when I am not dancing...maybe bad posture could be contributing?

I'm thinking that next summer I can go off of birth control and try to get pregnant. By then I would have my LPN license. If I get pregnant around the time I'm hoping by time my last semester starts I'll be 12-13 weeks pregnant and by the end of the semester ill be 28-29 weeks pregnant. So by time the baby would be born I would have already graduated. I wouldn't be in a hurry to work as a nurse right away since the baby would probably be born in Feb or March. I can always wait til the baby is 3 months or older and work part time as a nurse. The thing why I don't want to wait is because if I wait til after I finish school I would have to get a job as a nurse first and then wait like 6+ months so I could get maternity leave. And I really don't want to wait that long to have our first baby and I rather not have to work while i'm pregnant at least with my first pregnancy. Since i'm in school right now I don't have to work and if I do it's at our own business. My main concern is I hope I don't jeopardized my chance of graduating by being 12-29 weeks pregnant during my last semester of nursing school.

feeding vs. formula?

I'm expecting a little girl in 14 weeks and I'm starting to think about what I should do as far as feedings are concerned. 34 Weeks Pregnant & Not Eating?

Don't worry to much about not eating, the fact is that a baby is a "parasite"! I don't mean that the way it sounds, I simply mean that a baby will suck every last nutrient from your body before any harm will come to it. Consider all the women in 3rd world countries that carry babies to term with no medical care and little to no food, these babies are born healthy, and it is illnesses which they contract later in life (such as malaria) that bring them harm. Try to eat what you can when you can. If that means a couple pieces of fruit and a gl of milk throughout the day, that is still better than nothing. I am 29 weeks pregnant and frequently loose my appetite too! I just eat as much as my body lets me whenever my body lets me. Sometimes that means that I am eating a VERY tiny amount 10 or more times a day. If you are able to handle liquids, than get your nutrients from fruit juice, veggie juice and milk. I will sometimes drink meal supplement drinks (just make sure they are NOT diet drinks) to ensure my body is getting what it needs. Good Luck!

This guy i used to hate freshman year of college was a drunkard frat boy player type. Yet, I got to know him better and saw the "good" side in him (the one he often tries to hide). I have seen every doctor under the sun and not one of them have the answers. I have lots of symptoms for hypothyroidism but all tests are normal. The doctor said that my blood test did come back saying that my blood has lots of antibodies in it, so he put me on synthroid 10days ago just to see if this is the answer but still nothing, I have lots of other symptoms and they all come and go, Then for about a month I will feel great, I get up early and get caught up with everything that I let go, then after a month it all comes back again and I can't do anything again, When I Sleep, I have a real hard time getting up my whole face burns so bad and I can't get my eys open, I have no energy , All my glands hurt and my kidneys hurt so much I have to put the heating pad on my lower back the pain comes through to my stomach and then it seems like it swells up. I know what you mean, a lot of plots have been used (and reused) for so long that it's hard to think of anything good that you don't know the plot to by heart. Sorry that I can't recommend a new kind, as I run into this problem as well, but I would suggest rearranging something generic. Say the whole Romeo/Juliet 'our parents won't let us love each other' routine is something you can go for. Instead of having their families hate each other, why not switch it around so that their families are actually quite friendly and are pushing them to be together, but the two that are supposed to be together end up liking others in the family, like if Juliet fell in love with Romeo's cousin or brother. It would keep people on their toes, as they aren't getting what they expect.

Why does gta 4 not run properly on my laptop?

Why doesn't my dog recognize me or my family at times?

My 5 month old German Shepherd sleeps in my bedroom, my son has came in twice due to nightmares. When he was opening my door, my dog sprung up and barked aggressively as if he were about to attack. Then realized it was my son and started wagging his tail. I went outside to get my dog last night after a potty break, and he growled and charged me, but then stopped and started wagging his tail at about 8 feet in distance.
