Why do christian protestants claim we have to be one in christ if the protestantism has many denominations?

and what is the purpose of being in a specific denomination? for example a protestant christians says I feel much better in the pentecostal church than in the lutheran church because I feel the Holy Spirit or I feel better in a non-denominational because they teach what jesus christ said even all of them claim the same thing
