Switching your 1 year old from formula to milk or toddler formula?

My daughter is 11 months and is currently on Enfamil Lipil. Se loves it. I have heard at around 1yr you can give your baby milk. I am wondering if this is the best option or if i should switch her to the NEXT STEP Enfamil. I currently get WIC so i haven't had to worry about the price of formula however im wondering if its a good idea to sacrifice entertainment for my daughter health if it truly makes a difference between milk and next stepformulal. Please share your thoughts. Who has used Next step and who has used plain ole cows milk. Also what age was your child when you switched them......additionally how long can i use formula on my child before having to switch her to something else??
