Would it really be a bad idea to plan a pregnancy in my last semester of nursing school?
I'm 25 and been married for 7 years and we don't have any kids yet. My husband and I own our own business and I have 1.5 years left of nursing school. I have had really bad baby fever lately. I'm thinking that next summer I can go off of birth control and try to get pregnant. By then I would have my LPN license. If I get pregnant around the time I'm hoping by time my last semester starts I'll be 12-13 weeks pregnant and by the end of the semester ill be 28-29 weeks pregnant. So by time the baby would be born I would have already graduated. I wouldn't be in a hurry to work as a nurse right away since the baby would probably be born in Feb or March. I can always wait til the baby is 3 months or older and work part time as a nurse. The thing why I don't want to wait is because if I wait til after I finish school I would have to get a job as a nurse first and then wait like 6+ months so I could get maternity leave. And I really don't want to wait that long to have our first baby and I rather not have to work while i'm pregnant at least with my first pregnancy. Since i'm in school right now I don't have to work and if I do it's at our own business. My main concern is I hope I don't jeopardized my chance of graduating by being 12-29 weeks pregnant during my last semester of nursing school.
