Country singers traveled by stagecoatch?

I'm not exactly sure of the year. In 1966 - 1969 two country singers were traveling by a horse drawn STAGE COACH. I am thinking they spend the day or over night in New Brighton, PA or they stayed over night in near Geneva College Beaver Falls, PA. They were either traveling to Nashville to try and make a name in the music business, or they were traveling from Nashville. Does anyone know who these two country hopeful were. I have often wondered , did they make it as country singers.
