Good plot for a love story?

I know what you mean, a lot of plots have been used (and reused) for so long that it's hard to think of anything good that you don't know the plot to by heart. Sorry that I can't recommend a new kind, as I run into this problem as well, but I would suggest rearranging something generic. Say the whole Romeo/Juliet 'our parents won't let us love each other' routine is something you can go for. Instead of having their families hate each other, why not switch it around so that their families are actually quite friendly and are pushing them to be together, but the two that are supposed to be together end up liking others in the family, like if Juliet fell in love with Romeo's cousin or brother. It would keep people on their toes, as they aren't getting what they expect.
